Strengthening Our Foundational Pillars at Selfless Compassion Initiative, our mission has always been to serve the most vulnerable communities in the West Nile sub-region. To do this effectively, we must not only provide immediate relief but also tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice. This requires moving from a charity-based model to a powerful, rights-based approach.
This training has equipped us with the knowledge and tools to better empower the communities of Terego, Arua, and Madi Okollo to claim their rights and hold duty-bearers accountable. We are now better positioned to foster sustainable change that truly transforms lives. This composition ensured that strategic governance, operational management, project implementation, and evidence-based learning were all aligned with the new advocacy frame work. The training was highly interactive, blending theory with practical exercises tailored to the local context of the West Nile.
