On 20th May 2025 the Youth Climate Council Uganda (YCC)  in partnership with COLEIN AID-Uganda hosted a landmark National Consultative Meeting in Nebbi, West Nile. The event brought together young leaders, policymakers, and climate advocates to shape Uganda’s climate agenda ahead of COP30 and strengthen youth-led contributions to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Key Outcomes:
- Youth Voices Amplified including representatives from Selfless Compassion Initiative, shared region-specific climate challenges and solutions, ensuring West Nile’s unique vulnerabilities (e.g., floods, droughts, and refugee climate resilience) are integrated into Uganda’s NDCs.
- NDC Tracking & Accountability: Panel discussions emphasized youth engagement in monitoring Uganda’s NDC progress, with Selfless Compassion Initiative highlighting grassroots advocacy strategies for climate justice.  Selfless Compassion Initiative joined key stakeholders in pledging support for youth-led climate education and advocacy.
