On June 26th to 27th 2025 Community Empowerment for Peace and Development West Nile (CEPAD-WN) successfully launched the Feminist Humanitarian Network (FHN) Uganda National Platform in Kampala. The event, held at Hotel International, brought together over 40 women-led and women’s rights organizations (WLOs/WROs), humanitarian actors, government representatives, and civil society leaders to advance feminist principles in humanitarian action. Selfless Compassion Initiative CEO was among the key participants, contributing to discussions on feminist leadership and localized humanitarian responses . Key Objectives of the Launch1.Establishing a Feminist Humanitarian Ecosystem – Shifting power to women-led organizations in humanitarian decision-making. 2. Advocacy for Flexible Funding – Addressing barriers to financial access for grassroots feminist groups. 3. Strengthening Women’s Participation– Ensuring meaningful inclusion of women and girls in crisis response. 4.
